Dr Kalairajah is a successful trader with over 30 years of experience trading the UK and International markets, across many different asset classes and investment instruments.

Dr Kalairajah qualified as a medical Doctor after leaving university, he is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has acquired various qualifications in his career, MBBS, BSC, FRCS, MSTA, IFTA.

He practiced medicine as an Ophthalmic Surgeon. Having always had a keen interest in the financial markets, he taught himself to trade in his spare time whilst practicing medicine. He used his income from medicine to acquire buy to let properties and invest in stocks and shares.

Following his success in trading the financial markets over the next few years he became a full time trader.

Dr Kalairajah is a member of the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) and holds the requisite qualifications for that body after passing the required exams. He is also a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, in the early 2000’s he qualified as an Independent Financial Advisor and has previously been regulated by the FCA in the UK.

Dr Kalairajah is an expert in Technical Analysis, it is the foundation of his trading methodology. Technical analysis is a method of forecasting the direction of financial market prices through the evaluation of historic prices and where available, volume data.

A basic premise of the technical approach is that market action discounts everything: all that is known, or can be known, is 'in the price'. Technical analysis is therefore not concerned with the underlying value of a security, but with the effects on the price of that security produced by the activities of market participants. Dr Kalairajah also uses fundamental analysis alongside technical analysis as a way of enhancing performance and employs the requisite personnel with CFA qualifications to achieve this, he employs traders. computer programmers, data analysis personnel, back office staff and an accounts team to assist his trading.

The expertise gained over the last 25 years has led him to create a hedge fund which is in the process of being regulated in order to manage external funds.

Dr Kalairajah also invests in UK residential property buy to let property. He manages blocks of flats through freehold ground rent investments.

He invests and builds new build property and refurbishes existing properties mainly in and around London.
